Charlotte's birthday. We have a four day weekend. Have a good day!

 From Mrs. R

Kids had a great time rope jumping, playing games, and running an obstacle course as we raise awareness and funds for the American Heart Association.  Thanks you for the generous support of Zion, family, and friends!

We had a little fun at our Valentine Party, too. Thanks to the parents for purchasing ice cream, toppings, and goodies for us!  We watched a little Penguins of Madagascar and played a dice game called "Chicken" or as the kids have dubbed it "Gambling"  (no bets were made!)

Zion Church's famous Sausage supper is this Sunday from 11:30 - 6:30.   Drive thru carryout orders available. $15 meal and kids 5 and under eat free.  Hope to see you there!

Week 24 Jesus teachings and miracles (2/9)

It was a busy four day week!  One of the blessings I have is being able to walk through Scripture with your child.  We are exploring Jesus ministry of teaching, healing, and miracles.  Here's blurb from Enduring Faith, our Religion series:

"While Jesus teaches His followers, including us, through everything He does, His ministry includes times when He is simply preaching to or teaching His listeners....

While there are different types of teachings, they all come back to the theme of healing: the physical healing of those with different diseases and the emotional healing of those suffering in other ways. But the greatest healing Jesus performs is the spiritual healing from sin and eternal separation from Himself.

Through faith in Christ, we receive healing as well: for our spiritual ills, for our emotional ills, and for our bodies as well—now and especially in our resurrection. Help your child understand how each of the accounts in this unit applies to our lives and how we can view each as a reminder of how much our heavenly Father loves us and wants us to spend all eternity with Him."

I encourage you to share your stories of God working in your life with your child.  Share special Bible verses that give you strength and courage.  Help them know that they are God's forgiven children and God can use them to show His love to others and spread the gospel.
