Why: This is a time of fun and learning on our 6th grade class trip.  We will first stop at the MO Veterans

Memorial and see how we can honor those who serve. This is an exact, life size replica of the Vietnam Wall

 in Washington, D.C.

We will then have an opportunity to learn the history of some of the earliest Lutherans to settle in America.

We will not only tour an historic church and see the first seminary, but also visit an historic farm and

homestead.  Saxon Memorial had a fire last year, so our activities may vary between learning about life

there and some service opportunities.  In the past we have tried churning butter, laundry, grinding corn,

and carpentry tools.  We may help with planting, weeding, etc.
