News and Notes

Literature

To wrap up LIterature, we are learning about stories that have been passed down through the generations in a variety of cultures.  Our last focus is Mythology.  These stories show wonderful imagination as well as give us a glimpse of these varied cultures and the values the people held.  My favorite part is to look at the book of Acts where the students discover the Greeks mistook Paul and Barnabas for the gods Hermes and Zeus which opened the door for Paul to preach the gospel to them.
Do you have any stories that have been passed down in your family?  Do you especially have stories that share your values or give examples of your faith walk?  Consider continuing the oral tradition and sharing them with your child.
