Alyssa and Abbey
This week we had a science lab. We learned how to draw special crosses
in art too. On Friday we had a Valentine’s party. We got candy and soda
floats. We also learned about jump rope for heart day. If you donate $5 you
can get a free sweats and hoodie day. Our class’s jump rope for heart day is
on Friday, February 21. We have a field trip to a play on February 28 and
there is Grandparent’s Day on March 6. We have no school on Monday, due
to Presidents Day! The boys and girls in 6th grade won the basketball
games on Thursday. Enjoy your weekend!

A special thank you to parents and grandparents for taking the time to be interviewed by your child this weekend. You opened up a wonderful line of communication for your child to talk about these "growing up" years and the struggles we sometimes face with fitting in. Thank you for your openness. You are a great witness to share the importance of your relationship with God and the value He gives us as His children.

Grandparents' (Special Friends) Day
is March 6. Look for the dismissal consent form in your child's papers today. Please return by

Kid's Heart Challenge: We are on pace to once again raise a lot of money for the American Heart Association. So far we have gathered over $7,000.00 (updated) in donations. Most of these donations have been done online. Zion will receive an extra $500.00 from US Games for PE and Recess equipment if 50% of our Kindergarten through 8th Grade students register online for the Kids Heart Challenge. Being registered online also helps with managing the Thank-you gifts. Please consider registering your child online. See #3 below for our direct link.

#5- STUDENTS WHO HAVE RAISED AT LEAST $5.00 for the American Heart Association may wear ATHLETIC CLOTHING on their event day. For Jr. High - hoodie and sweats allowed all day!!
