Week 34 ART GALLERY

I have been overwhelmed by the cards, notes, cookies, cupcakes, gift cards, flowers, candy, snacks, smiles prayers, and surprises this week.  I love each and every one of your kids so much!  It is a joy to teach them.  I am so blessed to be able to share the love of Christ with them and partner with you in both their learning and their faith walk.  I would not trade my calling as a teacher for anything in the world!  Thank you!

Notes and Reminders:

From the class bloggers and photographers:

May 7th, Grace and Chloe

This week we started a collage of an animal based on Eric Carle’s art

pieces. To get a preview into his style we watched a short clip from Mr.

Roger's Neighborhood, a childhood favorite of many parents. Along with

a previous windball art project. We have just finished reading Tuck

Everlasting, a book about a mysterious family with a dangerous secret.

The novel was intriguing for most. We read it as a class and had diary

entries and book club discussions throughout the way. One of the book

club jobs was becoming an artist an painting a favorite scene of yours in

Tuck Everlasting. Some kids even experimented with writing creative song

clips on the whiteboard. We have our final Scholastic book order distributed

today. Although lots have already purchased from our Zion annual book fair.

Stay safe and have a nice weekend!
