Thanks for reminding your child to dress for the weather. We will continue to be outside unless wind chills dip into the teens. GLOVES would be great to remember too!
2 of our new units:
*Drama in Literature - We performed a Native American folktale this week to give us a taste of reading scripts and staging. Our unit will focus on the play The Phantom Tollbooth, based on the novel by Norton Juster. A great read full of puns and figurative language!
*Monsoon Asia mapping lab in S.S - We used Google Earth to help us explore physical
features of our new world region to explore, Monsoon Asia. In our chapters,
we will focus on the countries of Bangledesh (human-environment
interaction), India (outsourcing and global interconnections), Japan and
China (population and density issues as cultures adapt to changing
needs).
**We will also participate in the Lutheran Hour Ministries online mission to ZAMBIA, AFRICA for
National Lutheran Schools week.
NLSW - End of the month!
We will celebrate the uniqueness of Lutherans Schools at the end of the month. Special events are in the plans including a Spirit Week Note these dress days for Jan 24-28
