Week 34 Thank You!

I have been overwhelmed by the cards, notes, cookies, gift cards, candy, snacks, smiles, prayers, and other surprises this week.  I love each and every one of your kids so much!  It is a joy to teach them.  I am so blessed to be able to share the love of Christ with them and partner with you in both their learning and their faith walk.  I would not trade my calling as a teacher for anything in the world!  Thank you!

From the class blogger  Will

On Monday we had Quior, (a.k.a. choir) and the last day of the library. On Tuesday

in the gym we  played a game with a net and we would fling the ball over a volleyball

net. On wednesday mr. Marolf did chapel and talked about doing the right things in

the right situations. On Thursday we went to the gym and played poor poor puppy.

On Friday today we did art in which we will make a fish. Later today is the spring

dance. That's about it!

Lutheran Heritage Field Trip

Our end of the year field trip is an extended day trip to Perry County, Missouri.  We look forward to FUN AND FELLOWSHIP as we learn about honoring our veterans and  the spread of the Christian faith in America!!      We will  learn the history of some of the earliest Lutherans to settle in America to culminate our study of immigration in Social Studies class.

Our trip will take us to:

Missouri National Veteran’s Memorial.

1172 Veteran’s Memorial Pkwy, Perryville, MO

This is a newly built life-size replica of the D.C. Vietnam Memorial.  Student will learn about honoring our Veterans and medical personel who served their country.

Lutheran Heritage Center Museum &

                  75  Church St. Altenburg, MO

     Saxon Lutheran Memorial

1172 Veteran’s Memorial Pkwy, Perryville, MO

Here we will have an opportunity to not only learn Lutheran history but also try typical chores of the early pioneers on an historic  homestead.   Some possibilities are churning butter, laundry, shucking corn, and trying carpentry tools.
