End of the Quarter/Conferences
Today marked the end of the 1st
quarter. What a blessing to already see your children's growth in faith
and knowledge. I
appreciate all of the prayers and support help from the home side of things.
I look forward to visiting with many of you about your child's
progress at our conference on Thursday. Please take a few minutes to help me prepare
for conferences by following the link below. REMEMBER No school Oct. 26, 27. Parent survey

From the class blogger:
This week was Red Ribbon Week! On Monday was Neon Day, many people
had bright neon shirts and skirts. On Tuesday we Dressed as Sports Day.
Everyone had a team they support or play on and showed it well. On Wednesday
we dressed up for Crazy Hair Day. Also the band played in chapel. Thursday
we dressed up for PJ day. Some people even brought stuffed animals. And on
Friday it was Red or Pink out. We also had some tests. A T-Math Quiz on
Monday, a Science test on Wednesday, A literature test on Thursday, and a
Memory Quiz on Friday. AR points were due on Wednesday. In religion we
have been studying Martin Luther and what he did. Gym was very popular,
we played Catch the Critter.

Great Wolf Sanctuary Field Trip
6th Grade is going on another field trip! On Friday, November 17, we will be
headed to the Endangered Wolf Center in Eureka, MO. This trip will be quicker
than the last one, as it will only be a half day trip. We will depart from campus
around 8:15 and arrive at the center around 8:45. The tour and investigation
will run about 2 hours long, so we will be back at Zion around 11:30. This allows
us to have time in the afternoon to practice for our upcoming Advent Service.
We are on the hunt for field trip drivers! If you would like to volunteer to
drive for this trip, please let Mrs. R or Miss D know, along with how many
students you can fit in your car! You will need to havea current background
check. We appreciate all of your help, as we could not do this without you.
If you did not drive for the last field trip and would like to drive for this one,
you will be our first pick! We want to give all our parents a chance to go on a
6th grade field trip if you want to. Thank you again!
