Week 21: Ski Permission Came home

NLSW

IT’S NATIONAL LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK, time for a celebration! This week, we celebrate the fact that more than 157,000 students attend 2,111 Lutheran schools located across our great country. In this celebration, we will recognize, experience and give thanks for the lavish gifts that God bestows upon us — His love, grace and mercy. We also give thanks to God for this opportunity for our schools to serve within the context of our life together within sponsoring Lutheran congregations.

Ski Reminder
Our field trip to Hidden Valley will be on Friday, Feb. 5.  Thanks to all the parents who will be attending with us to help drive and chaperone.  Reminder to arrive between 7:30 and 7:45 that day and it is an extended school day.  Return will be by 4:30 p.m.

Permission slips will come home Friday with detailed information (except for the one student who stuffed it into an empty desk before they headed to lunch.)   We will know more about dress when we know what the temperature will be that day.  Hidden Valley provides ski boots and skis, but if your child has snowpants/ski bibs or the opportunity to borrow some, that is helpful.  When we fall, it keeps us drier!  The students go through a series of stations and progress at their own pace to learn the basics with wonderful instructors.  Don't hesistate to email me with questions!  This will be Mrs. Murray's first time on the trip, so 6M can send questions my way as well.
