2nd Step this week
Students continued learning about RESPECTFUL disagreement. They learned about different communication styles: Passive, Aggressive, or Assertive. These tips are good for you to reinforce at home as you talk through different social situations your child finds themselves in. How wonderful that God gives us the gift of forgiveness when we may be aggressive or disrespectful. We can identify when we mess up and apologize knowing that God can reconcile our differences.
Sanctification
Religion class is also seeing a lot of role playing and acting. What does it mean to live the Christian life? Students are studying Jesus' Sermon on the Mount and looking at how the Holy Spirit works in our lives to grow our faith and follow God. That's the process of sanctification! We were redeemed (sins paid for) by Jesus and now we have the Holy Spirit's help to follow Him.
