Week 28 (3/14) Grandparents Day!

Thanks to all the Grandparents and Special Friends who came to spend time with us today.  We loved playing games with you and showing off our school.  You hold a special role in shaping our young people - we honor that role and cherish the memories we create together.  I hope I got your picture, but I know things were pretty busy in our classroom!

Report cards came home on Thursday.  This is a good time for you to help your child reflect on their successes and set goals for our last push in 6th grade.  Here are some ideas:

  • Excellence in work - double checking writing for complete thoughts, answering all parts of the question.   PROOFREADING
  • Handwriting/neatness
  • Using the assignment planner!
  • Asking questions
  • Taking good notes
  • Being a peer helper when someone doesn't understand a topic
  • Reading a book over Spring Break
  • Make a new friend with someone you still don't know well
  • Starting personal devotion time

4th quarter brings some of my favorite topics next!  I feel so blessed to be a part of your child's life and look forward to this last quarter of learning and growing together.

Don't forget to ask what digital projects or homework they could show you.  So much is not on paper anymore.  Your child has a lot to be proud of!

Have a blessed Spring Break!
