This week, we had a day off on Monday! On Tuesday, we, at long last, got
our lockers, and had volleyball in PE! On Wednesday, we had computer lab
and got to use typing.com. On Thursday, The internet was out! So some of our
plans were messed up, and Mrs. Donner had a sub. And today we began our
bible perspective art project!
2ND STEP
Today we began the Second Step program. The program focuses on
skills that will help your child succeed in school and in life. These
skills include:
- Empathy
- Communication
- Perspective taking
- Respectful disagreement
- Assertiveness
- Emotional management
- Problem solving
Students had a chance to consider their hopes and plans for middle school as
well as consider the challenges ahead.

Pledge sheets came home this week!!
HOW WAS YOUR DAY? (8 minute read) Even though it came out last fall, this is
a great blog post for parents to help their kids communicate. and connect with their emotions.
