Class Highlights:
We have been studying Jesus' Sermon on the Mount with small group Bible study and students creating skits to apply Jesus' teachings to our lives today. It was neat to see the kids taking God's Word to heart and finding ways that we might encourage one another to follow the Spirit of God's Law - showing the loving intentions of our loving Father.
In Second Step, Ms. Bethany Andrews has been guiding our discussions of bullying. We've looked at physical and social bullying. We talked about bystanders and strategies of using our assertive skills, looking at other's perspectives, and being empathetic. We know in this sinful world, we are all guilty of treating someone unkindly. With God's help we can all find a way to be part of the solution instead of the problem! How wonderful it is that we can go to one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, help each other recognize a wrong, confess, and FORGIVE as Jesus forgives us!
