Week 20 Merry Christmas!

Families,

It's been a fast paced week wrapping up the quarter, with several tests, sharing  our Christmas picture books, watching part of The Nativity Story in Religion, acting The Phantom Tollbooth in Literature. and a bit of fun mixed in - ask your kids about IMPOSTER and the dice game called Chicken.  It brought joy to my heart to see your kids visiting with the elders yesterday and the smiles and laughter together.  One grandpa even played his harmonica along with our carols!  Today we had a special Christmas worship led by the 8th grade and Kindergarten with a mixed up pageant that got to the heart of the story.  The good news of Jesus -  the birth of our Savior is such important news it must be shared!!

I am overwhelmed by your generosity.  Thank you for all the gifts and goodies!   I pray you and your family are able to have a restful and worshipful holiday.  Jesus came to bring peace, love, and joy.  May we reflect the wonder of knowing He saves us!

Merry Christmas!

Week 19 Nativity Art

Will

This week we finished our stable art. We had to cut out our

stable from cardboard. Then, we covered it in polymer and

brown paper. Next, we hot glued our base and our stable.

Finally, we put sticks, hay, and moss on our stable after we

 painted our people.

We had a great week in sixth grade! We are wrapping up some major projects and finishing

the quarter strong.

Advent Begins

What a blessing your children were on Wednesday to our school and congregation.  They did a wonderful job leading worship during the Advent service. We are very proud of how hard they worked and are amazed by their talents!

We’ve had a busy week in sixth grade with our art nativity projects ending, our science cell projects beginning, and all the rest of our subjects.

Our Christmas Party planning crew is underway. Thank you to the fifteen parents who signed up to volunteer for our Christmas Party back at Parent Info Night! Unfortunately, we cannot have all fifteen parents volunteer because of space, so we have drawn names from a hat and contacted those parents.  We appreciate your offer!

Mrs. R’s class is in need of a case or two of water again. We are thirsty and sometimes forget our water bottles at home. We could also use a donation of individually packaged Cheeze-its, pretzels, or fruit snacks for those who forget snacks. Thank you in advance!

6R:  Permission slips came home today for our Christmas Service project.  We will be leading a Christmas Sing-a-long and visiting with residents at Breeze Park (Ever True) Senior Center in Weldon Spring MO on Thursday, Dec. 18 in the afternoon.  If you are interested in being a driver for us, please let me know!  Permissions slips due back by Tuesday, please.
