Class Blogger: Callie K.

Hello! Welcome to Mrs. Riemenschneider's class blog! We have had a fantastic 4 days at Zion this week. We've been studying very hard! This week, we have decided on a name for our bobcat. There were many choices like Bobo, Janice, and Rocky. We had a class vote and Rocky won! Welcome to 6th grade Rocky! Also this week, we finished our tropical glue fish projects. They turned out very colorful and pretty. We started another very cool art project this week as well, our bubble men! Also during this week, we got some new things hung up on our wall. One thing was a board of all of Mrs. Riemenschneider's classes every since she has been teaching! And guess who was in one of her classes? Mr. Braddy! Also this week we have been studying 2 pieces in literature. The first one that we studied was a fiction piece called "Why Monkeys Live in Trees." The second piece was called "The Case of the Monkeys that Fell from the Trees." We compared the 2 stories in a Venn diagram. We found many simillarities and differences.

Walkathon Coming

Students found out about our Junior High service project today at the Walkathon Kickoff.  We will be walking on Sept. 27 after lunch to raise money for Sparrow's Nest Maternity Home in St. Peters. This is both a Christian crisis pregnancy resource center and a home for young women who need assistance to bring their child into the world in a healthy environment.  Our Zion chapel offerings will also support this effort.  Their website is Sparrow's Nest  Check it out to see their mission.   Pledge sheets came home today for the Walkathon.  Ask your child!
