We did a awesome science experiment on Tuesday it was the best we had a hot bowl of water and then a cup of cold water. Then we put food coloring in the cup and predict what would happen! Have a great Labor day weekend!!!!!!! :)

FROM MRS. R.

It's been a great week in 6R.  Students now have a over a full week under their belts and a sense of how classes and transitions go.  We are getting better at routines and organization with fewer reminders.  Students jumped right into Religion class at the beginning - Genesis - to see our great and loving Creator had a plan for our salvation right from the start.  For a complete overview of Religion- Unit 1, see the tab above.

Some other units of study to begin the year:

 S.S.  -  Mapping skills
Lit.   - Fiction vs. NonFiction
Math - properties, basic operations, word problems
English - Sentence parts and prepositions Science- Earth science Art - Line and Space

BOOK ORDERS
Book orders are due on Friday - either by an online order (class code GV2FP) or by sending in the paper form and a check.  A new online feature:  if you place book orders for siblings, you can order online for all siblings at once and assign books to be delivered to different classroom orders.  Online orders earn YOU a free book.

Thanks!

A big thank you to all the parents who were able to attend our Back to School Night.  Please don't hesitate to contact me throughout the year as we partner together in the education of your child.  If you were unable to attend, look for a packet of information to come home today.  A couple quick notes:
  • email is my best contact  - I keep my cell off during the school day
  • there are no Shepherding families this year - please continue to be welcoming to our new families as they get to know the Zion routine and events throughout the year
