Week 6: Chapel offerings and S.S. skits

Chapel Offerings

This week, Pastor Clausing, the former chaplain at Lutheran High, led our chapel.  He focused his message on "connecting" people to Jesus by sharing his word with others.  We are excited to be adopting Pastor Clausing with our chapel offerings from now through October as he and his family prepare to leave for Eastern Africa as missionaries for the LCMS.  You can follow his blog here: https://clausingfamily.wordpress.com/

Walkathon next Friday

Students may come to school dressed in Bobcat Spirit shirts and "gym" style shorts or sweatpants next Friday to be ready for our walkathon in the afternoon.  Be conscious - no "shorty shorts" please.
Students have been encouraged to get pledges to support the scholarship program of CFNA.  No money due at this time.  Please plan for a COLD lunch to be eaten in the classroom before we start our walk/run.

Field Trip Oct. 2

Watch for permission slips to come home for the Weldon Spring/St. Charles Lanes field trip on Oct. 2.  I am still seeking parent drivers.  I have seats for about 9 so far.

S. S. Skits

Our geography studies continue by looking at different types of thematic maps.  Students have been "acting" by pantomiming physical features and creating climate zone skits.  Captions made by class blogger, Livia H.
