Week 19 (1/5) Happy 2024!!

We came back to school to cold days and sleepy kids1  We wrapped up The Nativity Story in homeroom today.  What a wonderful time to celebrate the wisemen and the Epiphany of our Lord as the Good News is shared with all the nations.   I encourage you to add worship with your family to your resolutions this year as your child is growing so much in their faith.

Thanks for reminding your child to dress for the weather.  We will continue to be outside unless wind chills dip into the teens.  HATS and GLOVES would be great to remember too!

 

TODAY ended 2nd Quarter.  Teachers are processing  grades and report cards will come home with students on Friday, Jan. 12.   

 Spelling Bee Class Representatives: 

We did a couple rounds of spelling bee practice and they competed in a preliminary bee competition.  Congratulations to Laina and Pierce W. for winning our class spelling bee and to Elliot as our alternate.  They will move on to our school spelling bee on Wednesday, Jan 17 at 2 p.m. in the gym.  Way to go! 

 

January Offering - Gospel Adventures - Awesome Australia: 

For January, our chapel offerings will go to the Global Kids Fund of Lutheran Hour Ministries to spread the gospel to children internationally.  Their website below shows several of their international projects including our partner in Australia, Lutheran Media, who offer a website geared toward children called Happyland.  Happyland offers a variety of digital resources to keep children engaged with the Gospel message.

End of the Month -  National Lutheran School Week 

We celebrate the uniqueness of being part of  a Lutheran School the last week in January.  Fun events are in the works - including a special spirit week!  Plan ahead now.
