Isaiah 55:10-11
10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
and do not return there but water the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
This is one of my favorite verses. Although the snow might be a hindrance to driving and trying to get back to a routine, it is a wonderful reminder of God's care for this earth. And it is symbolic of God and how His Word spreads to all. Yesterday, we started a look at Jesus' Sermon on the mount and how God uses us to be salt and light to the world. Living as His disciples, God calls us to make a difference in the world and share the love of God to all so that they may know He is Lord. Through our witness words, but even more through our actions.
Yes we really did have school for a couple days! Welcome back to the new year and enjoy playing in the snow again this weekend!
