Week 22: Happy NLSW!

Families-

What a wonderful, exciting week!  I am so privileged to have students who love the Lord and love learning!  Amid all the fun, we had a lot of time to reflect on our blessings and the greater mission that Jesus called us for - to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth!

Reminder - our Ski Day is Friday!  Plan to be early that day and pickup at 4:30 p.m.

Apologies - on the Book Order.  I must have missed clicking "submit."  I had to re-order and books should be here next week.

Valentines Day - will be celebrated Feb. 11 with treats provided by our room mom.  In 6th grade, valentines are OPTIONAL, but if you choose to bring them, please include every student in the class. Also do not bring in candy to pass out, due to our peanut policy.  No individual gifts are allowed - refer to our family handbook on Sycamore.

Enjoy the week in pictures!  Thanks to class bloggers Ryan and Matthew for several of the captions and photographers Berkley and Jordan for many of the shots below.

This week was Lutherans schools week!     Monday was pajama day....

We had a "dodge ball" fight in RELIGION

The balls had words like "cockiness", "jealousy",  "angry words"   on them which opened up discussion on sinful actions that bounce back to hurt us

Greeting one another in Spanish

Watching the online mission from Guatemala

Our Tuesday assembly with Juggling Jeff

Never heard the account of Peter and Jesus walking on water told like this!

 Tuesday was waki taki day

Wednesday was career day - We also had a visit from Pastor Mark Eishold who told us all about the people of Peru, where he serve 5 years as a missionary.  I was quite proud of the thoughtful questions the kids had - plus we had to find out about fast food restaurants and cars!

Thursday was Spirit Day and a fun volleyball competition between teachers and 8th grade  (no pics)
