Thursday we got to do a lab in science and learned about our Advent service. Friday we had art and got really messy. We also auditioned for our parts in the Advent service.

**In Lit. we have been learning how writer's develop characters.  We turned the story, "Dragon, Dragon" into a drama to help illustrate character traits and enact a plot.  We learned about pantomime and expression, too.  Sorry - left the pictures on the iPod at school.  I'll upload them on Monday.

This Wednesday our Faith Families met together to learn about Service.  We talked about different types of service, we showed how we serve one another, and we learned about those who serve our country.  As a way to thank those who serve our country we made Christmas cards for the U.S.O.  We also had the opportunity to celebrate baptismal birthdays for October, November, and December.

Faith families include 1-8 graders.  We worship together in chapel and do devotion and service activities togethers

Our First through Sixth grade students have been working on their Sport Stacking skills during their PE classes. Sport Stacking (also known as Speed Stacking or Cup Stacking) is a sport in which specially designed cups are stacked in specific patterns as quickly as possible. It has been called a “track meet for your hands” and not only improves eye-hand coordination, but also academic learning. “Students that sport stack on a regular basis have shown increases in test scores and levels of concentration. When students sport stack they are crossing the "midline" of their bodies and developing new connections in their brains. These new connections help to spur brain growth which in turn promotes greater academic achievement.” Not only that---SPORT STACKING is FUN! To find out more about Sport Stacking please go to www.speedstacks.com.
