Week 13: World Cup Stacking and Veteran's Day

From Mrs. R:  We had a wonderful opportunity to honor our Veterans yesterday.  Students will continue next week in English to learn about blogging and begin their first entry reflecting on our veterans and freedoms in America.

It will be a busy week as we wrap up a lot of chapters before the Thanksgiving Break!

From the class bloggers: This week was fun. On Monday we got our Advent service parts. We were off of school on Tuesday. Wednesday we had muffins for moms and chapel. On Thursday we had world cup stacking day. On Friday we started our Christmas art project.

LOOKING TO GET INTO GOD'S WORD?
Now is a great time to get started.  New Bible studies begin this Sunday at Zion.  Can't make it tomorrow?  It is pretty easy to jump in at any time.  Find us in the lower level of the church.

Please join us Sundays 9:30-10:15 from November 11- December 30
  • "Bringing Up Girls and Boys," led by Jon and Amy Bernhardt   Practical advice and encouragement on shaping the next generation This study will use video clips of Dr. James Dobson and small group discussion that will offer advice and encouragement rooted in biblical principles on raising strong, healthy and confident children.
  • "Life Makes Sense," led by Rev. Terry Weinhold  Come discover or rediscover the prophecies of Matthew.  They are for today and for our daily comfort and use.  Join us to see how life fits together.
  • "What Happens Next?"  led by DCE Aaron Hansen  In this Bible study both youth and adults can take a look at the Epistle lesson of 1Peter to get a better understanding of what lies in our future as Christians.  We will be tested.  We will be set apart for a greater purpose.  We will suffer.  We will submit.  We will be given a faith forged by fire.  Gaining a realistic understanding of what it means to be a disciple and some foresight into what is to come as we grow older in Christ.
AND FOR Junior High - C.H.A.O.S.  Meets in Mr. Braddy's room with Jeff and Taylor Demien.  A fun approach to Bible study and I hear there is always FOOD!
