Week 29: End of 3rd Quarter

This week, the students have been working hard on learning about population data analysis, diet and nutrition, percents, dividing fractions, beginning research papers, and using online web tools for research.  We dove into poetry with a look at childhood favorites (Seuss, Silverstein, nursery rhymes) and classics (Edgar Allen Poe, Maya Angelou, and Lewis Carroll).  We've seen JESUS as TRUE GOD and TRUE MAN by digging deeper into his miracles and parables.  Now we are ready to start the walk to the cross.  Busy times in 6R!

Friday marked the end of 3rd quarter.  I am so proud of the students and their hard work this year!  Teachers are processing grades and report cards will be sent home on Friday.

Achievement Tests begin Thursday and run into the next week.  I told students that not only are these tests a way to celebrate their strengths and identify areas for individual growth, but they are also a way for Zion to check how well we are teaching them.  Encourage your child to get good rest and eat breakfast each day.  If you would like to contribute to a snack for our testing days, please see this sign up. Achievement Test Snacks Achievement tests are digital again this year.

Former student or parent of Mrs. Beaty?  We celebrate the ministry of our beloved 8th grade teacher and ask if you have any special memories to please share.  Please help us spread the word to others who have been blessed by her teaching.

Online Auction begins Sunday at 1:00 p.m!  Don't forget to tune into the live event on Friday, March 26 at 7:00 p.m.
