Week 27: Nonfiction projects

Such a busy week, we did not get pictures taken!  Highlights:

  • watching Jesus miracles from the Visual Bible, Matthew and creating our own minibook summary
  • collaborative groups reviewing Non-Fiction articles
  • double Art period working on our perspective rooms
  • "shopping" online looking for better buys and calculating annual savings,
  • Raisin Bran lab in Science
  • reading lots of postcards from Lutheran schools around the nation
  • filming "A day in 6th grade" for our grandparents and special friends

We hope to have our video out soon for you to share with our loved ones since Grandparents day did not happen this year!

Praise God from whom all Blessings flow! - From Mrs. Steinbacher

Thank you, Zion students, families, and teachers, for the incredible job you did raising money for the American Heart Association. Your generosity is overwhelming! Together we have raised over Twenty-two thousand six hundred dollars ($22,600.00) for this worthy cause once again breaking out previous year’s record. Thank you for every donation from five dollars to five hundred dollars. We couldn’t have raised this much without everyone helping out. A special shout out goes to our top fundraisers- #1 William L. ($2,360), #2 Autumn G. ($1,140), #3 Ella Grace E. ($1,000), and #4 Mrs. Ford ($518).

FYI- The larger thank-you gifts should arrive around Easter.

Here’s another reason why I am thankful for our Zion family-

Covid has changed numerous things about our school year, but one change that I have enjoyed experiencing is being outside during morning drop off. I have truly enjoyed hearing both parents and students share their expressions of love for each other as students exit their cars and head into school. It is obvious to me that our students know that they are loved by their parents/grandparents and by their Heavenly Father. What a Blessing and what a great way to start the day!

Serving Him,

Mrs. Steinbacher
