Weel 18: The Winter cold!!

Thanks for reminding your child to dress for the weather.  We will continue to be outside unless wind chills dip into the teens.  GLOVES would be great to remember too!

2 of our new units:

*Drama in Literature - We performed a Native American folktale this week to give us a taste of reading scripts and staging.  Our unit will focus on the play The Phantom Tollbooth, based on the novel by Norton Juster.  A great read full of puns and figurative language!

*Monsoon Asia mapping lab in S.S - We used Google Earth to help us explore physical features of our new world region to explore, Monsoon Asia. In our chapters, we will focus on the countries of Bangledesh (human-environment interaction), India (outsourcing and global interconnections), Japan and China (population and density issues as cultures adapt to changing needs).

**We will also participate in the Lutheran Hour Ministries online mission to ZAMBIA, AFRICA for National Lutheran Schools week.

NLSW - End of the month!

We will celebrate the uniqueness of Lutherans Schools at the end of the month.  Special events are in the plans including a Spirit Week  Note these dress days for Jan 24-28
