This week we had the 5th and 6th grade advent service on Wednesday and all of
the actors, piano players, violin players, and singers did an amazing job. In gym
class this week we are doing basketball and we did knock out and other fun games.
Next week we have a field trip to the Breeze Park Senior Living Center, we will be
singing Christmas carols and talking to the people there for the afternoon.
What an amazing time we had serving God and leading worship this week!! I am so proud of these young people and all the roles they took - art, costuming, musicians, choir, helping each other memorize songs. It was truly a team effort! Thanks to all who were able to attend our worship this week. We pray the message helps your focus this season. It was a wonderful celebration! Our class has been using an Advent trivia calendar, Advent wreath, and devotions to help continue this season of reflection in our classroom.
What's happening in 6th grade:
Is
the conversation at your house like mine? "How was school?" "Fine."
"What did you do today?" "Nothing." Getting middle schoolers to share
is tough. Here's what's been happening in a few of our subjects:
Religion - Our new testament study continues with Anna, Simeon and John the Baptist. We are using clips from The Visual Bible: Matthew.
Math - Order of Operations and exponents
Science - Plant and Animal Cells
S.S. - Geography of Central America and the Caribbean
